The arms were officially granted on April 5, 1951. The abie and the bordure are taken from the arms of the Lords of Tann, who ruled the village in the 14th century. The red bar is taken from the arms of the Lords von Puchheim, who ruled the village of Weng in the municipality in medieval times; later also called Lrds of Weng
Deutsch: Blasonierung:„Gespalten vorn innerhalb eines von Rot und Silber (Weiß) gestückten Bordes in Silber (Weiß) auf grünem Dreiberg eine grüne Tanne, hinten in Silber (Weiß) ein roter Balken.“
Das Wappen wurde der Gemeinde von der Salzburger Landesregierung am 5. April 1951 verliehen. Der vordere Teil des Wappens erinnert an den Tannberg sowie an die Herren von Tann, die bis ins 14. Jahrhundert Lehenbesitzer des Gerichts und Grundherren im Orte waren. Die andere Hälfte zeigt das Wappen der Herren von Puchheim, die im Mittelalter das in der Gemeinde gelegene Weng besaßen und sich zeitweise auch Herren von Weng nannten.
