Object history
Deutsch: Ein Teil des Ortes gelangte 1368 durch Verkauf an das Kloster Maulbronn und 1504 unter württembergische Oberhoheit, der andere Teil war ritterschaftlicher Besitz. 1806 ganz württembergisch geworden, kam Kieselbronn 1810 im Tausch an Baden. Der Schwimmfuß als Kennzeichen der Gemeinde findet sich schon auf Grenzsteinen von 1704 und in den Siegeln seit Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts. Dieses Bild wurde auch in anderen Dörfern der Region als leicht stilisierbares Ortszeichen verwendet, ohne dass jeweils eine Erklärung dafür gegeben werden könnte. Ob es hier mit dem Wappen des Maulbronner Abts Johannes Entenfuß (1516—1547) in Zusammenhang zu sehen ist, ist noch nicht untersucht worden. 1907 gestaltete das Generallandesarchiv das damals gebräuchliche Siegelbild zum Wappen um, wobei die Tingierung an den badischen Farben orientiert sein dürfte. Das Recht zur Führung einer Flagge wurde vom Landratsamt Enzkreis am 5. November 1987 verliehen.
