Object history
Deutsch: Oberlauchringen und Unterlauchringen schlossen sich am 1. Juli 1971 zur neuen Gemeinde Lauchringen zusammen. Beide Ortsteile gehörten bis zum Anfall an Baden zur Landgrafschaft Klettgau, wobei die hohe Gerichtsbarkeit und andere Rechte in Unterlauchringen der Landgrafschaft Stühlingen zustanden. Das am 8. Oktober 1971 vom Innenministerium zusammen mit der Flagge verliehene, auf die historischen Herrschaftsverhältnisse hinweisende Wappen ist eine Kombination aus dem Wappen der Ortsteile. Oberlauchringen führte seit 1929 im Wappen die sogenannten Sulzer Spitzen. Die Grafen von Sulz besaßen die Landgrafschaft Klettgau vom 15. bis 17. Jahrhundert. Das 1895 angenommene Wappen von Unterlauchringen zeigt in von Blau und Silber geteiltem Schild oben einen silbernen Schwan. Es ist aus dem Schild und der Helmzier (Schwanenhals) des Wappens der Grafen von Lupfen, der Inhaber der Landgrafschaft Stühlingen durch drei Jahrhunderte, zusammengesetzt.
