Object history
Deutsch: Die Gemeinde Lautenbach ist 1815 aus siebzehn Zinken gebildet und 1934 noch um den Weiler Sendelbach vergrößert worden. Der Kern des Ortes gruppiert sich um die Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts errichtete Wallfahrtskirche Maria Krönung, das bedeutendste gotische Baudenkmal der Ortenau, der Lautenbach seine Bedeutung verdankt. In Anspielung auf den hier bis heute betriebenen Weinbau verwendete die Gemeinde seit Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts in ihren Siegeln eine Weintraube. Im ältesten Vogteisiegel ist das Wappen nach dem Muster des badischen Staatswappens von 1807 gestaltet: Der schräg links geteilte Schild zeigt oben den badischen Schrägbalken, unten anstelle des sogenannten Zähringer Löwen die Traube in einem durch Schraffuren als rot gekennzeichneten Feld. Spätere Siegel bringen allein die Traube in einem bekrönten Schild. Seit 1921 führt die Gemeinde das Wappen in der vom Generallandesarchiv entworfenen Form.
