Object history
Deutsch: Am 16. Januar 1927 nahm die damalige Marktgemeinde ein Wappen an, das unter einem goldenen Schildhaupt mit der schwarzen württembergischen Hirschstange in Silber eine natürliche Buche aufwies, deren Stamm von zwei blauen Pflugscharen begleitet war. Dieses auf die historischen Zusammenhänge mit Württemberg sowie auf die Land- und Forstwirtschaft hinweisende, zugleich aber auch gegen die heraldischen Farbregeln verstoßende Wappen wurde von der Gemeinde 1968 nach eingehender Beratung abgelegt. Das jetzige Wappen ist von dem für 1404 belegten Siegelwappen des Görig von Kochen abgeleitet, der Lehensgüter in Oberkochen besessen hat. Es wurde samt der Flagge am 1. Juni 1968 vom Innenministerium verliehen.
