Deutsch: Der Ort stand ursprünglich unter der Oberhoheit der Grafen von Hohenberg. 1303 erwarb der Johanniterorden von den Vögten von Wöllhausen die Grundherrschaft, die er, ab 1363 beziehungsweise 1440 unter württembergischer Oberhoheit, bis 1805 innehatte. An die Johanniterkommende Rohrdorf erinnern noch die gotische Johanneskirche und zwei Schlossbauten aus dem 15. und 16. Jahrhundert, von denen der jüngere heute als Rathaus dient. Auch das Wappen, das in ähnlicher Form (unteres Feld von Schwarz und Silber gespalten wegen der Vögte von Wöllhausen) bereits seit 1913 geführt und 1956 endgültig festgelegt wurde, nimmt auf die historischen Herrschaftsverhältnisse Bezug: der von Rot und Silber geteilte hohenbergische Schild ist um das Johanniterkreuz vermehrt. Siegel führte die Gemeinde erst nach 1805. Das Schultheißenamtssiegel des 19. Jahrhunderts zeigte innerhalb eines Perlenkranzes eine vereinfachte Ortsansicht. |
