Object history
Deutsch: Ziemetshausen war gutsherrlicher Markt und gehörte zur Herrschaft Seifriedsberg, führte aber kein Wappen. König Ludwig II. verlieh dem Markt erst 1884 ein Wappen. Es zeigt in geänderten Farben das Wappen der Freiherren Villinger von Schönenberg, die den Ort und das Gericht 1515 von Kaiser Maximilian I. erhielten. Sie stifteten im Ort 1557 ein Spital und erwirkten 1586 die Marktrechte. Im Jahr 1641 ist die Familie ausgestorben.
