English: Mining memorial, Hednesford A memorial to the un-named persons including children who died in the mines of the Cannock Chase coalfield. Hednesford was a mining town in the heart of the coalfield. West Cannock No. 5 Pit closed on 17 December 1982 and the last pit on Cannock Chase, Littleton, closed in 1993.
