Object history
English: The lower half of the coat of arms displays the wheel of the Archbishopric of Mainz, to which the area belonged until 1802. The wheel already appeared together with a cauldron, an attribute of St. Vitus, the local patron saint, on the local seal from 1720. The fess wavy is symbolising the Schwarzbach creek. The blue and golden colours are those of Nassau, to which the village belonged from 1803–1866.
