Object history
Deutsch: Durch die zweifache Spaltung wird das Wappen in drei Felder geteilt, die auf die Zusammensetzung Aresings aus den drei ehemaligen alten Ortsteilen Weham, Sonnenham und Bauerngasse hinweisen. Die goldene Ähre stammt aus dem Wappen des bedeutenden Sohnes der Gemeinde, des zuletzt als Regensburger Bischof wirkenden Johann Michael Sailer (1829-1832). Er wurde 1751 in Aresing geboren und erlangte als Erneuerer des kirchlichen Lebens in Bayern und Lehrer und Freund König Ludwigs I. Berühmtheit. Der Wellenpfahl, ein heraldisches Flusssymbol, weist auf die Lage der Gemeinde im breiten Tal der Weilach hin. Das Schwert, Attribut des heiligen Martin, symbolisiert das Patrozinium der Pfarrkirche von Aresing.
