Deutsch: Südwestansicht des Ortskernes der niederösterreichischen Stadt Dürnstein.
Links das Schloss Dürnstein mit dem blockhaften Hauptbau. Das Schloss wurde in der 1. Hälfte des 17. Jahrhundert errichtet und in den 1960er Jahre zu einem Hotel umgebaut. Im Bildzentrum das 1410 gegründete und 1788 aufgelöste Augustiner Chorherrenstift Dürnstein. Der markante Kirchturm hat eine mittelalterliche Bausubstanz aus der 1. Hälfte des 15. Jahrhunderts. In der ersten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts wurde der Turm vom Baumeister Josef Munggenast neu gestaltet und barockisiert. Am oberen Bildrand die Reste der Mitte des 12. Jahrhunderts errichteten Burg. Sie wurde 1645 von den Schweden geplündert und zerstört. Rechts im Bild das von Leutold I. von Kuenring 1289 gestiftete Klarissinnenkloster. Im Jahr 1573 erfolgte die Klosteraufhebung und Ende des 16. Jahrhundert wurde die Klosterkirche zu einem Schüttkasten umgebaut, wobei man den blockartigen Bau bis zur Gewölbezone abtrug.
