Deutsch: In Siegelabdrücken ist das Gemeindewappen schon seit dem Jahre 1650 nachgewiesen. Der rote Löwe ist die Wappenfigur der Grafen und späteren Fürsten von Löwenstein, die das Schloss Lautereck besessen und lange Zeit die Herrschaft über Sulzbach ausgeübt hatten. Erst mit dem 1867 erfolgten Verkauf der örtlichen Güter der Fürsten von Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg lockerten sich die jahrhundertelangen engen Beziehungen zu diesem Geschlecht, auf die dessen Wappentier im Gemeindewappen hinweist. Die untere, blaue Schildhälfte des Wappens und der silberne Fisch beziehen sich auf die Lage des Dorfes an den einst fischreichen Wasserläufen der Murr, des Fischbachs und der Lauter. Das Landratsamt hat die Flagge am 18. Februar 1981 verliehen.
