Object history
Deutsch: Die Gemeinde übernahm die Bilder aus dem Familienwappen der Grafen von Traun, die von 1688 bis 1747 die Hofmark Witzmannsberg innehatten. Das Schloss war 1742 durch die Panduren zerstört und nicht wieder aufgebaut worden. Das Trauner Wappen steht damit stellvertretend für die in Witzmannsberg ansässigen adeligen Familien, die die Geschichte des Gemeindegebiets prägten. Das Wappen ist auch auf dem Wening-Stich des Schlosses Witzmannsberg von 1723 abgebildet.
