• The root category provides a starting point for anybody to systematically look for any page in, or just navigate around, wikipedia, be it content, maintenance or template. One user may want to look for a particular robot, but she may not know the exact name of the robot or that of the robot category; the other may want to look for a city in a land, but he may not know the local naming conventions for cities. • The English wikipedia contains so many pages and categories that they need to put their principal categories (science, art, history, society, culture,...) into [sub-|]sub-categories of en:CAT:CAT, with a name like "main topics classification" . - Hillgentleman 11:11, 2 novul 2007 (UTC)

Order of interwiki?

Shouldn't the (alphabetic?) order in the interwiki links you're adding to categories be en: zh:, instead of zh: en:? I notice that zh:-interwiki links in other Wikipedias come after en:-interwiki links. --Smeira 11:42, 4 novul 2007 (UTC)

Si. The actual orders came from my cut-and-paste procedure and are somewhat random. I took the lazy attitude since interwiki.py fixes it automatically. Hillgentleman 16:11, 4 novul 2007 (UTC)

Hi Hillgentleman, you've by now certainly noticed the m:Proposals for closing projects/Radical cleanup of Volapük Wikipedia. Glidis! Getol leaktronpot? I noticed that suemod "kaliet" no-pamiedeton appears in many an argument. And often we see arguments starting with a browse through Pad fadik - which is not necessarily the best way to look through a work under construction. It may help Vukiped to actively develop portals and categories, and in particular, Cifapad, to help visitors orient themselves, directing them to the good articles, and giving a more prominent role to good articles in jäfüd distöfik.Hillgentleman 15:13, 29 dekul 2007 (UTC)
