O novo formato pras comunas francesas

Acho que agora está bom, aqui em Geban:Smeira/Voböp. O que você acha? (Não se se fica melhor a evolução demográfica com o gráfico linear, ou com o gráfico em barras; se não me engano, os italianos fizeram um gráfico de barras com os valores exatos da população segundo os censos franceses).

Um detalhe, na correção de Lincoln (New Mexico): por alguma razão, há no set de caracteres duas bolinhas (símbolo do grau), bem como tipos diferentes de apóstrofo (símbolos dos minutos e segundos). Em geral, eu usei: 33°29’ 31’’, enquanto que você pôs: 33º 29' 31" (compara só: ° e º, ’ e ', ’’ e "). Para evitar problemas com bots que tentam encontrar e reconhecer as coordenadas, é melhor usar só um tipo. (Eu também segui o formato que vi na en.wp, sem espaço entre graus e minutos mas com um espaço entre minutos e segundos. Mas isso é, creio, menos importante.) Como o que eu havia usado já está em quase todos os stubs, será mais fácil continuar a usá-lo, a não ser que você tenha alguma objeção. Bolinha - uso a do teclado português, a mesma que em "nº". Como se coloca essa outra?

Apóstrofo - a que tu estás a usar é um acento. Estou a usar o apóstrofe do teclado também: '. O outro só premindo a tecla do acento agudo e depois um espaço para que ele apareça (2 teclas para 1 caracter).

Duplo apóstrofe - eu estava seguindo a maioria das WPs, penso, mas isso é mesmo uma questão de escolha: ´´ ou ", vai dar no mesmo.

Espaços - foi mesmo só uma questão de estética e congruência o colocar 2 espaços. Nada a objectar.

Regra geral, escolheria os símbolos mais fáceis de entrar (º e ', com 1 tecla) mas já que está tudo com os teus símbolos, acho que é melhor eu adaptar-me. Malafaya 17:11, 2008 yanul 4id (UTC)

P.S.: Há muitos artigos problemáticos nesta categoria: Klad:Towns in Indiana.

Em priscas eras, quando comecei a entrar coordenadas nos artigos sobre cidades americana, eu estava usando um teclado brasileiro que me dava exatamente esses símbolos. Agora estou com um teclado holandês, local, no qual esses símbolos não estão imediatamente disponíveis; mas como os antigos já estavam em um monte de artigos, continuei usando-os, como herança. O que faço em geral é editar um artigo já existente (em geral Phoenix (Arizona) e copiar e colar de lá, trocando os números e deixando os símbolos.

Samafomot novo: bem, até que se podia fazer algo com o próprio samafomot já existente. Talvez definir um outro sub-samafomot (já há três, o que põe no título, com link: plad=tiäd, o que põe no texto, com link: plad=vödem, e o que põe ambos, plad=bofiks; talvez se criarmos um terceiro, possamos até fazê-lo escrever: videtü XXXX e lunetü XXXX (XXX, YYY). (Ou talvez até no futuro isso passe tudo para dentro de uma infobox...) Ah, o diabo, é claro, é a falto de tempo. Vou pôr essa idéia na lista na minha página, mas como uma das últimas prioridades...

Towns in Indiana: sim, vi. Parece que são todas vilas pequenas que não tinham informação demográfica detalhada na Wikipédia inglesa, mas o bot, por alguma razão, achou que tinham e copiou o que não devia. Tasso Fragoso

Acabei de corrigir a página dessa cidade, e notei uma coisa: os interwikis estavam apontando para páginas sobre o General Tasso Fragoso (líder da junta militar provisória antes do governo de Getúlio Vargas), não para o município no Maranhão. Eu tirei os interwikis todos e pus um para a página correta em pt.wp, mas tenho medo que os interwiki-bots vão pôr os links errados aqui, porque muita página sobre o General agora está com link para a página Volapük sobre o município... há algum jeito de resolver isso rápido, sem ter de remover os interwikis manualmente das páginas nas outras Wikipédias? --Smeira 16:57, 2008 yanul 19id (UTC)

Eu apenas tenho bot em algumas wikis por isso a maior parte tem que ser manual. Para o município já corrigi. Já para o general, ainda não está mas não há o risco de voltarem os interwikis para a página do município porque o bot encontra links para 2 páginas diferentes em vários wikis, abortando o processo. Oi Malafaya! Apareceu um probleminha no vo.wiktionary. Estou usando um novo laptop agora, e por alguma razão, quando rodo o SmeiraBot lá para adicionar mais dados, o sistema me pede a senha, e depois não efetua o login (o computador diz que sim -- "should be loggin in by now" -- mas as mudanças do bot aparecem todas nas "Recent Changes" com o endereço IP ao invés de serem atribuídas ao SmeiraBot -- olha aqui). A User:Spacebirdy me advertiu que isso é em princípio ruim, porque a página das Recent Changes fica muito cheia e vandalismos eventuais são disfarçados. Ela sugeriu que eu perguntasse no canal IRC #pywikipediabot, mas eu não sei como fazer isso... quando clico nesse link, só me aparece uma página de erro. Como você já andou nesses IRCs, talvez você possa perguntar por mim?
Alguns detalhes: copiei e inicializei o "framework" Python no novo laptop, inclusive o meu arquivo "user-config.py", o qual tem o seguinte conteúdo:

Quando eu rodo o SmeiraBot na vo.wikipedia, funciona tudo normalmente. Quando eu tento rodá-lo no vo.wiktionary, o computador diz "getpass not successful" ou algo assim e me pede sempre a senha. Eu dou a senha, e o sistema responde: "should be logged in by now" e começa a fazer as modificações. Estas são realmente feitas, mas aparecem sempre na página de Recent Changes com o meu endereço IP mencionado, não como mudanças feitas pelo SmeiraBot... --Smeira 11:37, 2008 febul 2id (UTC)

Perguntinha (talvez repetida)

Oi Malafaya! Acho que já perguntei algo parecido em outra ocasião, mas... lá vai. Acabei de corrigir algumas páginas brasileiras: Bebedouro, Armazém, Valparaíso (São Paulo), que estavam erradas porque o interlink apontava para a página errada em pt.wp (Bebedouro e Armazém apontavam para páginas sobre bebedouros e armazéns, não sobre os municípios respectivos). Por isso, os interwikis para outras Wikipédias também estão errados, bem como os dos artigos sobre bebedouros, armazéns, etc. nessas wikipédias, que estão erradamente apontando para municípios brasileiros. Eu removi os interwikis de vo.wp para as outras (e pus o interwiki correto para pt.wp), mas não removi os interwikis das outras para vo.wp. Obviamente, pode-se desfazer isso manualmente, abrindo cada uma das páginas em questão e corrigindo o interwiki para vo.wp; mas será que não há um jeito mais rápido de fazer isso, digamos via o seu bot? Acho que se isso não for feito os interwiki bots vão entender tudo errado e ligar de novo os artigos sobre municípios brasileiros a artigos sobre bebedouros e armazéns em outras wikipédias... --Smeira 18:59, 2008 febul 10id (UTC)

• Sorry for the late response. No, this is not purposely. The data being used by the tools on the toolserver is replicated - automatically copied - from the 'normal' Wikipedia databases. Since there were technical problems wit a disk array on the toolserver, replication of some of the databases is being late by more than a week and a half at the moment, and catching up very slowly. Unfortunately, my tool is currently not aware of replication lag, and does not warn users, that it is using partially stale data. I am planning to alter that, and include some other possible error messages and warnings as well, but that is somewhat complicated and will take time.

Spacebirdy contactou-me ontem à noite. Pediu que fossem bloquados os IPs usados por esse user impostor (*Moira*, *Entlinkt*, etc.). Houve um pedido de checkuser na DE.WP e deu que essas contas impostoras são todas do mesmo user o que legitimou um bloqueio a todas elas e aos seus IPs (os IPs por 1 mês). Oi Malafaya. Acabo de prometer ao Leptictidium que vou deletar temporariamente os artigos sobre anos (bem, pelo menos os que estão vazios) até a Wikipédia Catalã passar à frente da Vükiped. Depois vou pô-los de volta. Você sabe se há um jeito rápido de deletar muitos artigos? Hi Malafaya. You thought right: Donorì isn't correct either when speaking and when writing. The strictly correct form is "Donòri", but in Italian usually we don't put the stress when it fall over the first and intermediate syllables. So, usually we write "Donori" but we pronounce "Donòri".

Malafaya, tentei repôr as páginas sobre os anos com o SmeiraBot, mas sempre vinha uma mensagem de erro. Aparentemente não posso recriar automaticamente uma página que já foi removida (ou então tem alguma flag que eu precisava resetar?) --Smeira 18:08, 2009 yanul 4id (UTC)

Hm, não, não tentei logar como SmeiraBot e fazer isso, mas creio que não seja esse o problema: provavelmente tudo funcionaria perfeitamente. É o próprio programa python que se interrompe automaticamente e diz algo como "Page has been deleted". Como se houvesse alguma opção em algum comando (algum argumento) que eu devesse fazer '=Overwrite' ou '=ContinueAnyway' ou algo assim), só que não sei qual é. O resultado é que ando recriando as páginas manualmente... Leva um tempinho, mas também vai funcionando.

I also received an email, probably the same you got. I suspect that once you are registered as a user in one language of wikipedia, you are automatically considered a user in any other language if you consult one document in that other language, which seems to be the case for me... I am a recognised user in version of wikipedia in 9 languages I do not speak or understand, but where I have checked for the correct multi-language links in the left-hand column of main article pages...

The Volapük version is the only one for which I have received what is probably a simple welcome message (but the Volapük to English or Volapük  to  French translators are not easy to find!). I suggest that the creator and owner of the Bot refrain from sending mass messages to "New Users" who become so just because of a quirk in the Unified Login policy. The message seems to have gone to a number of users who wonder (1) what the message means and (2) why they received it. In many people's books, such unsolicited e-mails to a large number of recipients from a computer-generated list constitutes spam e-mail, not a good policy to adopt in a project like Wikipedia, in any language, living or dead! The message is simply a welcome message on your talk page. For SUL users (users with unified login), their account is created as soon as they load a page on this wiki. The welcome message is a standard procedure in any wiki, not just this one. The reason why you are receiving an email also is because you have in your User Preferences the option to receive a notification email from the wiki when your talk page is changed, which was the case. In any case, this is solely your option (to receive an email or not) and you can change it; it can't be considered spam (if it's spam, it's MediaWiki's...). puisque vous parlez français je vais continuer à m’adresser à vous dans cette langue.

On appelle spam tout courrier envoyé à un destinataire qui n’a rien demandé. Votre bot m’a, si je comprends bien, envoyé un message pour me signaler qu’il avait placé un message de bienvenue dans ma page de discussion. Il s’agit bien d’un spam. C’est d’autant plus inadmissible que depuis la mise en place de l’identifiant unique, nous avons tous un compte dans toutes les Ouikipédies ! Si dans chacune d’elle un ou deux dresseurs de bot se mettent à lancer des fantaisies de ce type, ça va vite être un joyeux bordel. Aussi je vous demande de faire en sorte qu’aucun de vos bots ne m’adresse plus de courriel ; si ça se reproduisait, il est évident que je signalerais cet abus de l’outil à vos admins et à ceux de la fondation. C'est normal de faire ça ("Bienvenu sur Wikipédia!"). Le courriel que vous avez reçu a eté envoyé automatiquement par le logiciel (que n'est pas sous mon control!) parce que vous l'avez (explicitement ou non, je ne sais pas) choisi dans votre préferences d'utilisateur. La même chose pourrai se passer a une autre Wikipédia où vous avez une compte, si votre discussion est modifiée. Si vous voulez signaler cette situation à la fondation, faites-le. I noticed recently that in ALL the Dokan Kim pages, it says "labü näijenotis X" when it should say "labü näijenots X", i.e. because the noun follows a preposition, it doesn't take the accusative ending. Is there some way to systematically correct this mistake across all the pages? Also, I've never been entirely happy with this usage of "näijenot", but I know of no alternative. An important message about renaming users

Dear Malafaya, My aplogies for writing in English. Please translate or have this translated for you if it will help. I am cross-posting this message to many places to make sure everyone who is a Wikimedia Foundation project bureaucrat receives a copy. If you are a bureaucrat on more than one wiki, you will receive this message on each wiki where you are a bureaucrat.

As you may have seen, work to perform the Wikimedia cluster-wide single-user login finalisation (SUL finalisation) is taking place. This may potentially effect your work as a local bureaucrat, so please read this message carefully.

Why is this happening? As currently stated at the global rename policy, a global account is a name linked to a single user across all Wikimedia wikis, with local accounts unified into a global collection. Previously, the only way to rename a unified user was to individually rename every local account. This was an extremely difficult and time-consuming task, both for stewards and for the users who had to initiate discussions with local bureaucrats (who perform local renames to date) on every wiki with available bureaucrats. The process took a very long time, since it's difficult to coordinate crosswiki renames among the projects and bureaucrats involved in individual projects.

The SUL finalisation will be taking place in stages, and one of the first stages will be to turn off Special:RenameUser locally. This needs to be done as soon as possible, on advice and input from Stewards and engineers for the project, so that no more accounts that are unified globally are broken by a local rename to usurp the global account name. Once this is done, the process of global name unification can begin. The date that has been chosen to turn off local renaming and shift over to entirely global renaming is 15 September 2014, or three weeks time from now. In place of local renames is a new tool, hosted on Meta, that allows for global renames on all wikis where the name is not registered will be deployed.

Your help is greatly needed during this process and going forward in the future if, as a bureaucrat, renaming users is something that you do or have an interest in participating in. The Wikimedia Stewards have set up, and are in charge of, a new community usergroup on Meta in order to share knowledge and work together on renaming accounts globally, called Global renamers. Stewards are in the process of creating documentation to help global renamers to get used to and learn more about global accounts and tools and Meta in general as well as the application format. As transparency is a valuable thing in our movement, the Stewards would like to have at least a brief public application period. If you are an experienced renamer as a local bureaucrat, the process of becoming a part of this group could take as little as 24 hours to complete. You, as a bureaucrat, should be able to apply for the global renamer right on Meta by the requests for global permissions page on 1 September, a week from now.

In the meantime please update your local page where users request renames to reflect this move to global renaming, and if there is a rename request and the user has edited more than one wiki with the name, please send them to the request page for a global rename.

Stewards greatly appreciate the trust local communities have in you and want to make this transition as easy as possible so that the two groups can start working together to ensure everyone has a unique login identity across Wikimedia projects. Completing this project will allow for long-desired universal tools like a global watchlist, global notifications and many, many more features to make work easier.

Hello. A policy regarding the removal of "advanced rights" (administrator, bureaucrat, interface administrator, etc.) was adopted by community consensus in 2013. According to this policy, the stewards are reviewing activity on wikis with no inactivity policy.

You meet the inactivity criteria (no edits and no logged actions for 2 years) on this wiki. Since this wiki, to the best of our knowledge, does not have its own rights review process, the global one applies.

If you want to keep your advanced permissions, you should inform the community of the wiki about the fact that the stewards have sent you this information about your inactivity. A community notice about this process has been also posted on the local Village Pump of this wiki. If the community has a discussion about it and then wants you to keep your rights, please contact the stewards at the m:Stewards' noticeboard, and link to the discussion of the local community, where they express their wish to continue to maintain the rights.

If you wish to resign your rights, please request removal of your rights on Meta.

If there is no response at all after one month, stewards will proceed to remove your administrator and/or bureaucrat rights. In ambiguous cases, stewards will evaluate the responses and will refer a decision back to the local community for their comment and review. If you have any questions, please contact the stewards.

How we will see unregistered users

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.

If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.
